Venus Williams was playing in the French Open in Paris... which might go some way to explain her bizarre choice of outfit in her first match of the tournament.
The 29-year-old player looked as if she had borrowed a negligee from a burlesque troop at the Moulin Rouge.

Looking as if she was about to burst into the can-can at any moment, Venus exhibited her normal flair on the court - athletically reaching for shots and slamming balls past her opponent Patty Schnyder of Swtizerland.
But the lacy, tutu-type attire kept bunching up to reveal her skintight flesh-coloured knickers.
It gave onlookers more than an eyeful of her shapely derriere.

Venus is becoming renowned for her on-court dress, which she wears to give publicity to her personal clothing line.
The star said she was wanted to create an 'illusion' - she's actually created a bit of a furore.

Last month she wore a similar outfit - a red dress with black trim, minus the lace - at the Madrid Open.
But it's unlikely her colourful outfits will go down well at the All-England tennis club.
Players are expected to wear classic white at Wimbledon.

While all talk was of her outfit, rather than her skill, Venus is currently ranked No.2 in the world.
She has never won the women's singles titles on clay and has only made one appearance in the French Open final - which is perhaps why she chose style over comfortable sportswear in the first round.

She did go on to win the first-round match against to Switzerland's Patty Schnyder, 6-3, 6-3

Somebody's giving Nikki Minaj way too much credit...

As she continues her rise to fame Nicki Minaj has become the latest celebrity to be named in a sex tape scandal.
A sex tape of Young Money's Harajuku Barbie has reportedly surfaced showing a pre-fame Minaj engaged in various sex acts.

The tape is reportedly being sold for over $100,000 and shows a younger version of Nicki Minaj performing sexually on camera.

Excerpts from the tape are expected to leak to the net soon but no word on whether it features men or women in the scenes.

As previously reported Nicki has admitted to being an openly bi-sexual woman.

She told Details magazine that she hopes rap becomes more “gay friendly” so that an openly gay male rapper can prevail.

“I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it's harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we'll see one in my lifetime…”

She also told Details that she views herself as a role model and feels pressure to tone down her racy image.

“I do. I'm a role model now. I didn't know I was gonna have 13-year-old fans, so I've tried to change a few things here and there. But I also know that the girls don't want me to be Miley Cyrus, either.”

Who the fuck is she kidding?  Role model for who?

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - A judge in Beverly Hills has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of actress Lindsay Lohan who failed to show up for a mandatory court hearing Thursday morning.

Lohan, in France for the Cannes Film Festival, could not make it back in time because her passport was stolen, her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said.

Holley told reporters that Lohan tried to board a plane Tuesday but was turned back at the airport because her passport was stolen. The actress filled out a police report in Cannes and has since obtained a temporary passport, Holley said.

Lohan has completed 10 out of her 13 required alcohol education classes, Holley said, adding that her client has an excellent progress report.

"Does she reschedule at times? Yes. Is she late sometimes? Yes. But she makes all of that time up," she said.

"This is a young woman who is complying with the conditons of her probation and could not be here because of something outside of her control," Holley added.

Lohan was spotted partying on a yacht in Cannes Wednesday night.

Holley said the 23-year-old actress would return to Los Angeles on Friday.

Thursday morning's hearing was related to Lohan's 2007 no contest plea to driving under the influence.

Upon issuing the bench warrant, Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel set bail at $100,000 and planned to ask for the following conditions for Lohan's release:

-- that she not be allowed to drink alcohol until she attends a court hearing;

-- that she be fitted with a device to measure the presence of alcohol in the body;

-- and that undergo random, once-per-week drug and/or alcohol testing until she completes the terms of her probation.

Lohan's probation was extended for a year in October after she missed some alcohol education classes while making a movie in Texas.

Issuing a bench warrant is standard practice when a person misses a court date, but they are usually put on hold for a few days to give the person another opportunity to come to court, according to Jane Robison of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

In August 2007, Lohan pleaded no contest plea to two counts each of driving under the influence and being under the influence of cocaine, along with a reckless driving charge.

At the Oct. 16 progress hearing, Revel scolded Lohan, saying she must notify the court and get permission before leaving the jurisdiction again.

"I don't want to get any notices again -- and I don't want you thumbing your nose at the court," Revel told Lohan, adding that "the most important thing" is that the actress "continue to recover."

"I don't want any more notices from the program that you may be in violation because you are absent for 21 days," Revel said.

"I am rooting for you to successfully complete probation," Revel said. "I want there to be no more misunderstanding. This has to be a top priority."

Revel also warned Lohan that because she is followed closely by the media, she won't be able to tell the court one thing and do another.

"Your life is followed -- it's not as if you can just hide out," Revel said. "Too many people know what you're doing."

About 5:15 a.m. on May 26, 2007, Lohan crashed a Mercedes-Benz SL65 into a hedge along Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills and was charged with drunken driving.

In July of that year she was arrested in Santa Monica in connection with a dispute with an assistant. She subsequently underwent rehab for alcohol and substance abuse.

Under the terms of her plea deal, she was placed on 36 months probation, required to serve a 24-hour jail sentence, complete an 18-month alcohol education program and perform 10 days of community service.

Lohan served 84 minutes in the Lynwood jail as part of her plea deal and was ordered to undergo alcohol and drug rehab as a condition of her probation.

Long before Rima Fakih was crowned Miss USA 2010, she took home top honors in a contest that would make even Donald Trump blush.

Miss Michigan, who made history Sunday night as the first Arab-American to win the Miss USA beauty pageant, won a pole dancing contest in 2007 hosted by local Detroit radio morning show Mojo in the Morning.

In a series of photos posted on the radio show's Web site, Fakih is seen provocatively working her way up and down a stripper pole while wearing a blue tank top, bottom-grazing red shorts and a pair of high heels. Another photo shows her wearing a bra stuffed with dollar bills.

The 24-year-old beauty did not need to remove any clothing during her show-stopping performance at the Coliseum Gentleman's Club which won her "jewelry, gift cards, adult toys and a stripper pole for home use."

According to Mojo In The Morning, radio show producers have been contacted by Miss Universe representatives requesting additional photographs and information regarding Fakih's involvement in the annual "Stripper 101" contest.

Pageant officials reportedly did not answer to inquiries regarding whether Fakih's status as Miss USA was in danger.

"It would be foolish to consider anyone other than Rima to represent the USA," radio host Mojo said. "The photos taken from our Web site are no more provocative than those on the Miss USA Web site."

Beyonce Reps Brooklyn With New Tattoo?

Beyonce caught people's attention over the weekend when she was spotted, during a nightclub run through New York City, sporting some fresh ink.

According to TheBoomBox.com, Mrs. Jay-Z was seen with the word "Brooklyn" tatted on her left hand as she was spotted roaming NY's Chelsea neighborhood.

We all know the singer is from Houston. Jay is from Brooklyn, so it looks like she's repping for her man.

At press time, it was unclear if the ink was permanent or temporary, but eyewitnesses said it "looked real".

Lil Wayne may be locked in Rikers Island away from the industry, but that's not stopping some of his associates from handling business with him. Grammy award-winning producer, Shondrae "Bangladesh" Crawford has a bone to pick with Mr. Dwayne Carter. A $500,000 bone.

"I don't fuck with [Lil Wayne]... and you can print that," Bangladesh told VIBE, when asked if fans should anticipate a reunion come his 2011 release. "Cash Money don’t pay royalties. The Carter III, [is] his biggest album probably because of “A Millie.” [But] you have to sue these guys so that they pay up."

The Atlanta beatmaker disclosed that he is suing for an estimated 500 Gs in owed royalty checks for his work on "A Millie," one of Wayne's most revered records of all time. A single that earned him Best Rap Solo Performance at the 2009 Grammy's and gave The Carter III ammunition to sell a million records it's first week of release in June 2008.

"It's [Wayne and Baby's] responsibility to pay [me] because all the money from album sales goes to Cash Money. I get checks from Sony for Beyoncé, checks from different labels for different artists, it just comes to you. You don’t have to call them, sue them and all that junk. This is what you're owed."

He continues, "I don’t really give a fuck about [Wayne]. I can't give a fuck about somebody that don’t give a fuck about my situation, I have kids. In the hood, people get killed for ten dollars. I couldn’t imagine owing someone hundreds of thousands of dollars and just walking around in front of them. I'm so confident in myself, that I don’t need Lil Wayne. There's gonna be so many opportunities. I can create a Lil Wayne."

A nominee for VIBE's Best Producer of All-Time, Bangladesh went on to explain the corrupted process of Cash Money, centering on Baby.

"This is why Manny Fresh don’t fuck with [Cash Money] because he never got any royalty money. That’s why Baby can go around flaunting this cash, because that’s everyone else’s money... It's not even Wayne's fault. Wayne is not getting money. He is given money, he's not getting money. If Baby gets a million dollars he’ll buy Wayne a Phantom, but that’s in Cash Money's name. That 14-bedroom mansion isn’t Wayne shit," he says. "That’s why he have his own company, because he was trying to leave Cash Money and the only thing that would keep him there was [if they] gave him his own thing. But Baby still controls that. All those Young Money artists don’t even know that they not getting royalty money."

And the beat goes on. According to the New York Post, fellow Carter III producer, Jim Jonsin—responsible for Wayne's infectious lead single, "Lollipop"—filed a $500,000 lawsuit against Wayne on April 20 for missing royalty payments. In May 2009, Dallas production duo Play-n-Skillz also mentioned to a local radio station that they were yet to reap any monetary benefits from their work on Wayne's third single featuring, T-Pain, "Got Money."

Bangladesh, who secured his placement on The Carter III when his friend and Young Money artist, Shanell suggested the "A Milli" beat to Wayne, recalls the first time he met self-proclaimed Best Rapper Alive. "Wayne is a different guy. I first stepped to him years ago. Don’t know if he was on drugs, but he ignored me," Bang says. "This was before 'A Milli.' I didn’t sweat it because I told myself that one day, I aint gotta say nothing, he's gonna like the music." The premonition came to life indeed. However, it's been almost two years since "A Milli" made it's game-changing impact and Bang says the New Orleans MC has still never uttered a 'Thank you' his way.

"This industry is a devilish game. And these are devils controlling the game," says Bangladesh who swears by self-rule. "I don’t wanna be caught up in it. I don’t wanna break bred with devils."

The murder trial of Aubrey Berry, the man accused of shooting Atlanta rapper Dolla in broad daylight at the Beverly Hills mall, started today (May 4th).

Berry, 24, is being tried by a jury for committing the 2009 murder, after the two had allegedly been involved in an altercation at a strip club in Atlanta.

Berry claims Dolla, who was shot from behind, was threatening his life, while acting in self-defense.

Prosecutors accused Berry of shooting at Dolla eight times. Four bullets struck the aspiring rapper, as he attempted to run from the valet area of the mall.

The trial, which started today, is expected to last a week. He has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Berry is facing a maximum sentence of life in prison if he is convicted of Dolla’s murder.

In his latest freestyle, Eminem did not stray from his often-topical subject matter, taking a jab at embattled Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

"Fuck that/I'd rather turn this club into a bar-room brawl/Get rowdy as Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall," raps Eminem in his "Despicable" freestyle, referring to highly-publicized sexual assault accusations levied against the quarterback in recent months.

"Apparently, Mr. Mathers couldn't come up with a word that rhymes with 'Roethlisberger,'" offered seemingly unamused writer Mike Florio at ProFootballTalk.

Fans' reactions to the rhyme varied. "I actually think it's pretty funny," wrote one reader in response to the PFT article. "[It's] a 'who's a bigger idiot contest' between [sic] big ben and eminem,i still think ben wins tho," wrote another.

ESPN Blogger James Walker, who covers the division in which the Steelers reside, posed an interesting question on the matter: "Can Roethlisberger battle rap? That would be interesting to see," he wrote, ultimately picking Eminem to win the imaginary battle. "To reference an old LeBron James line, Roethlisberger battling Eminem on the mic is like Soulja Boy trying to battle Jay-Z. It's not a good look."
